Basket Wheves on a gen 3?

I have a 98 and dont like the chromies. I want to put a set of the 15 wheels from my 89 sho on it (basket wheves). I wanted to know if they will fit the gen 3 brake set up.

no they will not - you need 16" wheels. that is why the GenI/II spare will not fit over the GenIII brakes - that spare is 15".
