On a 93 mtx, would bad battery cable keep the car from running? The car stalled out on my buddy a long time ago and we hadn't been able to get it started, even when we tried pull starting it. It has power to run the lights, stereo, etcetera, but the power cuts off when you turn the key to start. I just put a new starter and battery in it tonight (it's been sitting for a while) and it did the same thing so I hooked jumper cables up to the solenoid from the battery and it cranked over. It cranked kind of slow but I couldn't get the best connection on the positive wire. I'm going to replace the cables tommorrow, but I just wanted to make sure that there isn't anything else I should be looking at and wanted to confirm my suspicion that since the car uses a DIS, it won't pull start if the battery cables are shot.
