Trans smoking like crazy, never had a problem with the trans it was running fine. when i cut off the car it was like somebody was pooring bottles of trans fluid on the ground. I'm getting under the car tommorow. Does anybody know where it is more than likely coming from. The Trans laughed at the stop leak that I put in there. Please help me Forum.. :bonk:

Well if your leaking fluid you will have to get under there and see where its coming from. There is no way that we can tell you for sure where the leak is in this situation.

Here are a couple of suggestions.

If you were running very hard, or over filled the trans, the fluid may have overheated and expanded out of the overflow hole.

Check the removable pan and gear covers for a break in their seals (loose bolts or seal material gave out). Check for the leaks at the axels where they go into the trans (axel seals). Look at the hoses that go from the trans to the radiator. Did one spring a leak?

Check the various sensors or solenoids that are threaded into the trans, or otherwise attached to the trans. Are any missing or leaking?

If the leak is coming from between the motor and the trans then it is internal and could be an input shaft seal leak, a pump or pump seal leak, or a torque converter leak. rangerj
