92 mtx ...I'm unfortunately thinking my CPS is going bad( but only has 10k on it)... Here's the weird part(I think)...I drive the car to car shows only on weekends so the car sits all week. Drive it to the car show and it runs great...sit at show all day then leave and within the first 5 minutes of driving it, it bucks and engine dies for a split second, but not enough to fully die and stop running and runs great rest way home ...I read codes and I get 211...I erase code, drive it following weekend and does same thing...run great, no buck n die on way to show but then coming back, boom within 5 minutes again...and just this last time, it died and stalled out... restarted within a minute tho and ran great rest way home...it's always that once after a car show...
Anything else it could be?

That sounds like the typical symptoms of a sick crank sensor. It works fine when cold, but when warm it will be erratic and occasionally die. Unfortunately, the typical situation is that it keeps getting more common to act up and also will get so it takes longer to "recover" so you can start the car again. I would be looking for a different one post haste. btw, I had one die in the first month after installing it new, so infant failures do exist like on all electronic things.

Where can you buy a crankshaft position sensor for a Gen I/II? Have they become obsolete?

I tried rockauto, all the part stores, ebay, and the dealership.

obsolete. you have to hunt for used or dig and cross your fingers for a new one sitting somewhere.
Ebay if you are very lucky.
I would look at used parts search bots on the internet and call a salvage yard that pops for SHO motor/car and see if they can get you one. Even the used stuff we tap into on the forum is drying up. There is a group buy thread somewhere Chad put together trying to get another run of new aftermarket ones produced.

I have a 94 parts car so I guess I'll be pulling it out of there...only thing that sucks is I never drove the parts car so who knows if that one acts up when warm...just have to take my chances

Yep. If another run becomes available grab one or two if you plan on staying in the game. I have an extra new one in storage somewhere I grabbed when I heard they were drying up.

Obvious question is whether you changed the water pump at the same time as the CPS.
