I figured every one could post here when they made it home safe, and post any comments they had about the event. for me it was just cool to put some faces to the names, and i was happy that i picked up a unbroken MTX center timming belt cover for a buck, and a entire running 3.2 for 150.00 :thumb: thanks to area91 for covering my broke ass till we got home :):)

Hope everyone made it back safe, or makes it home safely for those who are still there. I had a great time.:thumb:

My engine issues continued on the way home though. As a re-cap, the motor, after a several miles at speed will go rich to the point that my PLX monitor cannot register a number. It does better at higher speeds and high RPMs, much to the chagrin of the local ricers I ran into. Occasionally, at idle it will go lean.

Codes:
Many stored codes stemming from my trans swap. I can pick them out since they reference parts that aren't even on the car.
Also got 172, 173, 176/7 (can't remember the last one).
I'm not too concerned about these, as I think the problem is elsewhere and causing the O2's to read funky numbers.

Since the last time I drove the car for an extended time, I have:
Cleaned the K&N filter.
Remover the evaporative controls (purge solenoid, charcoal canister).
installed Autolite racing plugs one heat range colder than stock.
trimmed wires from under the dash (shortened wires that had been previously cut).

This morning, I cleaned the MAF, and reconnected the purge solenoid (left the canister out, though).

Damn it was HOT! First trip, and its going on my annual "to do list". Maybe next time I'll have something to take thats not as rough around the edges (Gen 1 wagon ?) At least I already have a donor car, speaking of which made the 902 miles without a hicup and used only purchased consumables (gas). Nice seeing/meeting everyone:thumb:

Got home Ok after driving through rain most of the way. Rain-x was a good thing to have. Saturday was nice and hot. I'll post my pictures soon.
Yesterday was a very good SHO turnout, about 38 cars showed up, which is the biggest turnout I remember. I wanted to get all the forum names but was too busy walking around the field.
Good deals, there were a few SHO parts, and a couple of Cars for sale on the vendor field (all 3 gens represented). I even saw a V6 oil pump there which is like impossible to get.

Wow! What a **** of a drive! J/K!!

What an unbelievable event. We will do our best to show up again next year.

We left about 7 a.m. PA time and arrived in WI about 8 p.m. tonight.

Got caught in some pretty heavy rain storns where we were down to 10 mph on the interstate!

I never would have believed that there could be so many SHO's together at one time and it not be a convetion. Good job to all who attended!! Kudos!

I am grateful to have met so many new and fantastic SHO folk! You all rock! Those of you that I/we already knew, it was about time to get together again!!!!!

Cannot wait for the convention!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:

Well as far as going home went... Route 78 was closed both ways due to a fatal accident, which thanks to my friends Blackberry with it's nav we were able to go around it.

As far as the show goes, WOW it was sooooo HOT. I have been going to All-Fords since 99 and it seems like you either get rain or hellish hot conditions like this weekend.

What a great turnout for the SHOs, I have never seen anywhere near that many at the event! :thumb: As for us non-SHOs, I think we had 3! :shakehead:

It was very nice meeting the members I did get a chance to speak to, hopefully I will speak to more of you next year.

Beer and salt pretzels keep you alive in the heat, man. My bud Tom who'd stopped by the tent with his son polished off the last two waters the Thompsons (ShoMotion93) had, and about 20 minutes later ended up in the infirmery with heat stroke.

Honestly, I thought it was warmer Thursday afternoon - but then again I wasn't feeling much of anything...

Glad everyone made it home safe :thumb:
