Ohh yea. Had no CEL with Xj2 it just took a dump and popped in the old b9 and CEL that wont leave . Unplug TwEECer no CEL.

That is because the TwEECer uses the X2J Strategy, Not the B9B. HOWEVER, The TwEECer essentially turns your B9B in to a X2J. I'm not sure if there is some kind of software difference between the two that is causing the Tweecer to throw a CEL tho.

This thought just crossed my mind....

Did you Just try to plug the TwEECer in to the new Computer and run it? Or did you actually Load the TwEECer tune to the new computer before running it...?

I've at this point tried it all even uninstalled every thing and started fresh . When i "read eec" its all crazy #'s I guess it's the strategy thing. Seems like the older caledit had support for b9b under strategies .I cant remember my name sometime so I could be wrong.

I'm scared to send it off it took like 4 mos. to get when i bought it like forever ago. Do they warranty ? I purchased directly from STKR way back when . It was fine for forever. Wish i had another xj2 to rule out this old b9. The car seems to be running right and logging and all, just this annoying CEL in my face.

They carry a standard warranty when purchased through a dealer. I would expect to pay a little. I had to send mine off out of warranty because I fried a couple things (similar operation as yours and the PCM was fine). I think it took a week and a half or so and it was $150 for them to test it, find the problems, fix it and send it back. They were actually very easy to deal with. My backup tuner is a Moates... But only because I wanted to play with it.

The checksum is probably differenet between the b9B1 and x2j, but i dont think you can change the checksum with the tweecer software only with BE.

Can you give a little more info? Mods?? No CEL without tweecer? You did clean the J4 connector with alcohol ?

Yes cleaned well . 3.2L, all boltons , 3.0 heads ,full p&p throttle body to valves , 255lph , FMS36#hr inj. , Shonut reg, p600b xx#'s boost , fmic , 80mmlincon maf , Setup ran fine with no cel with xj2 computer . Xj2 shit out replaced with b9b, runs fine afrs same feels same. Constant cel .

Hmmmm? I run a B9B with no problems ... Have had a CEL due to MAF dropping below lowest MAFv at idle. You can't read a B9B, gives junk.

Come to think about it... Have hear if the J connector isn't perfectly clean, then you can get a CEL on all the time.

Thanks for the insight.I broke the tranny the other day so the CEL is'nt as big a deal any more funny how things "fix" themselves LOL .
