Hello all,

We are planning on a get together of the AZ SHO Club on November 20, 2004. It'll be at Dooleyville from 9:00 AM till whenever. Jason will be coming down from Colorado to work on his winter beater here where it's warm. :D He'll be using the lift part of the time but you should be able to get some "air time" at some point in the day, so bring your oil and filter if you want to do your oil.

I'm inviting all of the SHO powered buggy guys also so there might be a good turn-out of wild things to look at also. I'll either bar-b-que some burgers or send out for pizza at about 1:00-ish. If you're a vegetarian, well...just eat the tomatoes off the burgers.

If it's a really nice day, we can drive on over to the Pavillions Car SHOw and see what exotic machines SHOw up this time. Last time two jet powered crotch rockets whined in and out (literally).

Lee will be prepping his SHO powered Class 1 offroad car for the Baja 1000 that is happening the following week, but I might be able to talk him into dragging it out if I bribe him with some spare parts.

Todd Cook has a dinner engagement for that night but we might be able to talk him into bringing his record setting and championship (again) SHO powered Hill Climb car out also.

Anybody that doesn't know the way to Dooleyville, e-mail me and I'll send a map.

Hope to see you all there.

Tom, do you have a tap and die set? If not, I'll bring mine. Since I'll have lift access, with time permitting, I'll do the tranny drain plug.

Yes I do. I even have heavy grease to put on the tap to catch a lot of the chips. I assume since it's not real thick, that we should put in a 1/4" pipe thread and plug.

Yes, that is what I used on the other car, a brass 1/4" NPT. I cannot remember where I bought it, but I am thinking Home Depot or Lowes. To prevent the fluid from dribbling on the drill, I drilled a small hole and let drain overnight, then drilled the proper size hole. I don't want to take up the lift that long, so I'll figure out another way.

Do any of your parts cars have the black cardboard that hides the factory amps? Also, from that white car, do you have the plastic pieces that are under the brake lights?

Thanks,
Jason

Jason, I have a little hand-operated sucker pump that I use to drain the transmission through the fill plug. It doesn't take very long.

Mike has some sort of Rube-Goldberg contraption that does it in less time and makes cool noises or something.

So we oughta be able to get your tranny drained one way or other...

Tom:

Not only will I be there, The little woman will be there too as well as the 2 kiddies. Of course pending Mitzi's approval. Karla was asking me what it is Mitzi uses around your house to make it smell so good. My Duffle bag still smells Cave Creek fresh. Heck even my clothes that I changed out of to work on the car smelled cleaner than when I wore them.

Seeing as how I have nothing to do on my car, I can help you strip.....the two junkers that is.

Eric, thanks! That should work. I have quite a bit to do on the car, but I have no doubt that I can get it done rather quickly, especially if I have a hand or two.

Most of all, I look forward to seeing every one of you again!!!

Tom, I called the guy that is up here in Denver to visit his mother. I did not get his name, but I'll hear from him again later today or sometime tomorrow. He's a nice guy and I look forward to meeting him!

Do I have anything of anyones?

Tom is mistaken, he gave that to me, which I subsequently lent to you along with the socket. The only part that belongs to tom is the yamaha badge. I own what the badge is attached to.

We'll wait to see how many are going to SHOw up and then we'll let you know.

Thanks for asking.

No, not turbo....

I am going to supercharge the car. I need more power. After going to the track with Pat, I cannot resist. I intend to track the car a few times next year.

I'm picking up the tubing, brackets, and oil feed lines this week. :thumb:

Jason, so which car are you going to s/c? Track duty is ******* a car, if you plink the s/c into the white car you might have more fun flogging it than worrying about something happening to the red car.

Eric, I'm supercharging the red car. The white car is not ready for the track, nor will it be. It would need lots of money in performance parts to keep up with the red car. I very rarely drive the red car as is, plus I have a spare motor and soon to have a spare tranny. I won't track it but a couple times a year, it will mainly be for fun street/canyon driving.

I'm not too worried about breaking stuff, I have so many spare parts (new and used) and the access to get more. Pat just upped my enthusiasm today by taking me out in the white SHO again. :thumb:
