Is it normal for our cars to feel like a 4x4 locked in low gear when turning ? I've experienced this locked in low feeling when backing out of parking spots and turn the wheel or when doing a U turn or just simply turning a slight turn at a light? Should I take in to the dealership to get looked at?

Mine don't either, if it felt like my F150 in low I would have it looked at

Alright cool just wanted to make sure it wasn't something our cars do. I'll schedule a visit then and see how it goes. Sucks cause I just bought the car 2 weeks ago barely had 10k miles. I wouldn't have expected it to have issues already

My 2013 did that slightly since brand-new - maybe not as bad as yours sounds though. Everytime I made a left turn out from my block onto another side street it felt like the rear diff was trying to push the fronts to go straight.

It was a combination of the tires (Supercar F1's), the pavement where I made that turn, and how much I hit the gas. And maybe the front-end alignment (my 2016 feels a bit different in the front alignment area, like it has last (or more) caster).

Unlike conventional AWD that has a differential in between the front and rear diffs, this thing applies power to the rear at a constant rate. Even though it's through a clutch pack that is not entirely locked up so it can slip a bit, it is definitely a different feel.

In your case, yes, have the dealer look at it - what year is it? Could be wheel bearing, CV joint, or even the rear clutch pack grabbing way too much.

How many miles are on it?

It's a 2015 pp with 13k miles. I've been thinking it could be the tires as well. I'll have them look at it just in case

While you are at the dealership, ask to drive another SHO, if they have one. That goes a long way to dispel the notion that they all do that.

I'll be sure to ask even though I don't they'll have one. Where I live they are not popular at all. People in my area are all about v8 Dodge and Chevy

Mine does that occasionally. Low speed hard lock it will sometimes feel like it wants to push. Not enough that I have been concerned but you can notice sometimes.

Maybe I am overthinking it and it's more of the tires just getting a good bite.

Never noticed this and I have Firestone Indy 500 summer compound tires all around. I also have an AWD Flex non Ecoboost that has never done that either.

I've noticed it does it after driving for a while and it's warmed up. I haven't driven the car in a few days but I'm definitely taking it to the dealer as soon as I have a chance

Def could be a ptu/rdu issue then. Sure there havent been any leaks/smell of natural gas?

Honestly I haven't really looked for leaks and as far as smells I haven't noticed any at all.

So I dropped it off at the dealership over night drop off. They said it's at least 5 days before they can take a look at it. I live in oilfield boom town so all dealership are backed up far behind with fleet pick ups. Hopefully they will take their time to diagnose it and fix it right the first time. It started doing the weird studder when turning Everytime now and I did get under the car and no leaks or smells. Also the service advancetrac light came on and I restarted the car it turned off. Less than 3 weeks with the car and already gonna spend probably longer than what I've had it at the dealership. I love the car and it's potential but I hate Ford and now I remember why.

No other dealer you can go to? Pre-owned cars sometimes require patience! Main thing is I do hope it is covered by warranty.

Unfortunately every dealer within 100 miles is the same. It should be under warranty is the drivetrain and I have 14k miles less than 3 years but and I haven't put any on any mods. Hopefully they won't give me shit about it I'll raise **** lol

So first day that I drive the car over 30 miles and it turns out it still doing the same thing when turning. So whatever they replaced was not the issue. It's gonna go back to the dealer next week

Ruh Roh. Still possibly the PTU, and yes it has gone bad with low miles on the 2013+. They should definitely check the PTU fluid if nothing else, maybe even borescope it. Also check strut mounts/bearings, and wheel hub/bearings. Some suspension/steering component may be binding.
