Does anyone have not necessarily an "issue" with their Autolamps shutting off quite early in the am just as it's getting light out? The opposite can be had with around dusk as when they should turn on automatically. But mine seem to stay off until it's almost dark out, or that small window of time before total nightfall. They do work as normal but they're quick to switch off sooner than later and switch on later than usual. 2015 Taurus SHO. Normal? For me no idea. Thanks gang!

I have put a couple of layers of scotch tape over the sensor on one of my cars that had that issue. It doesn't take much opacity to change the amount of light required for the sensor.

Right and that tricks it into thinking it's nighttime. Now tonight 05-02-25 @ approx. 8:17EDT my automatic lights turned on BUT my dash backlighting dimmed telling me my lights are on auto. I had already had my lights manually switched "on" before then and then the dash dimmed at the above time. Mind you it was already getting dark, there was a decent thick cloud layer in the sky so I'm not sure that would trick the lights into them turning on sooner rather than later. I'm almost certain this is the beginning of my autolamps "sensor" on the upper dash is failing. But even if it did fail, I'd have no automatic function at all. Very strange. My previous cars (all GM cars) their lights would come on at the crack of darkness like much sooner. I can't wrap my head around Ford's automatic lighting on their cars.
