Hi all,
So I was wondering if anyone in the Auburn IN area would have a 3/4 impact or a 1/2 with more than 400 ft/lbs. I have a VERY stubborn crank bolt. I already broke one 19mm socket....I've tried the starter bump, cheater bar, impact gun and a bunch of heat with all three.
The funny thing is, that I only have me to blame. When I did my 60K a couple of winters ago I was going to make sure I got the bolt tight enough to avoid crank cancer. I guess I got a little to enthusiastic about it.

I'll probably stop by a couple of local shops to see if they can come out with a more powerful impact.
If someone here is really close and wants to lend a hand let me know, if not it's no big deal. I really just wanted to share my frustration.

Thanks, but that woould be quite a drive. I'm going to see if I can rent one from Taylor Rental or something. I tried putting the car on the ground in fifth gear...then I put a breaker bar on it with a 2ft cheater bar. Still no luck. My bar has too much flex in it. And I was still getting some rotation in the crank pulley. Oh well, what would life be without it's little challanges.
