i had my trans rebuilt like 5-7K miles ago and now i just have 1st gear...i dont think it needs rebuild again...i dont drive it hard or excessive...no 7,000rpm shifts...could it be a bad valve body or a blocked oil passage or something not allowing it to shift...

It sounds like a valve body problem or less likely, a shift range selector problem. The shift range selector can be found on top of the transmission. It is shaped like a baseball diamond with a single electrical connector coming off of it as well as a metal rod. This part costs $35 and is swapable in about 15 minutes.

Could also be one of the shift solinoids in the side pan (valve body) I had lost 2-4 and swapped out one solinoid and regained 2nd, I would really have to belive this one is an electrical problem.

Back in Michigan ... again.
At 2k on the rebuild it should still be under warranty. Of course I don't know the details of your particular transaction, but most rebuilt trannys come with at least a 6 month warranty.
