Hi guys,

We have a 1994 SHO with ATX and yesterday while driving the transmission was shifting from first to second and then jumped into neutral which is essentially where it has stayed. It doesn't matter what position the shifter is in, there just seems to be no connection between the engine and the transmission.

We have checked the tranny fluid and it is fine and the linkage seems OK too.

Any ideas? This is starting to sound expensive...

Thanks,
Barry

there is a long list of possible issues, nearly all of which will require a rebuild. pretty much the only ones that would not require full rebuild would be solenoid or shift spool failures in the valve body, which is accessed from the pan on the driver's side of the car and can be r/r w/o having to pull the trans.

check your codes - that should point you toward the problem, although it likely will not give you the exact issue.
