i just wanted to ask just to make sure im not getting screwed. i just got my trans rebuilt in my 94 atx like 200 miles ago. its shifting a little hard when coming to a stop or letting off of the gas, basically coming out of gear. the guy said it was because of the codes that i have. i have 172 and 176 which i seen on SHOPP that those have to do with the 02 sensors. im asuming that i need new ones. he said with those 02 sensor problems that the car is getting wrong signals so thats why its shifting a little hard coming out of gear. is this right or is he bs

thanx corey.

Sup Corey.

If you are getting those codes I would change the O2's. If you change them, and nothing changes. There is a problem. I cant imagine the car shifting hard because of a bad O2 sensor. Then again I havent drove the car. Coming out of gear sounds kinda scary. Im not sure I know what you mean by that.

With these automatics.. If it doesent shift absolutley PERFECT. The tranny's shot more or less.

The o2's have nothing to do with how your tranny works. However, I would replace them to save yourself the argument with your tranny guy. Then take it back and make him fix it. Put the Bosch sensors in.
