Im thinkin its the CPS now. I just replaced the CCRM, car still wont start Here are the codes:
116 (O,R) Engine Coolant (ECT) sensor out of range - ECT (Odd because my ECT is only about 1.5yrs old)

172 (R,M) Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean - Single, Right orr Rear HO2S - Fuel control (Odd because I just replaced the rear 02 sensor, maybe the front one is bad?)

211 (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems

Any ideas guys? Does this sound like a CPS problem? Car cranks and cranks, has plenty of juice, alternator and battery are fine. Just wont start.

the 211 code points to the CPS problem that plagues all SHO's at some point in there life (unless changed at the proper intervals/every 60 k, with the waterpump and timing belt). it also could be the coil pack and or spark plugs and/or wires. be sure to check that all out too. but if you know the CPS has never been done, its almost a garentee that it needs it now(with that code).

the O2 sensor will not cause a no start situation, just cause a hotter running and more fuel burning problem, and can lead to killing the cats i hear.

i dont know too much about the coolant temperature sensor. it is possible if you bought a cheaper one that it could need replacing again. i have heard different stories on whether or not it will cause a no start situation.

ECT causing no start

A failing coolant temp. sensor will cause a no start situation. Most of the time the it will read something wil -10 degrees or some way off number.

If this is the case it causes the engine to flood and most likely you could smell the gas, If you can't smell it outright let the engine turn over a while and pull a spark plug, If it's flooding you can see and smell the fuel on the plug.

On second thought just ohm the sensor. The sensor specifications should be able to be found by searching the fourms.

Pull a spark plug boot, stick a phillips head in and ground it on the intake manifold to check for spark.

CID would be my guess....

I believe there are failsafes in the ECU to allow the car to eventually start with a bad/missing CID. But it's so easy to change in comparison to the CPS that...hey, why not throw a new one in (and replace the seal behind it).

Sounds like a CPS...

Just unplug the CID sensor to eliminate it as a possible fault.

If it had failed and was causing the fault, the engine will still start on a one out three chance.

Do you have spark? Asked before and not answered...

There are multiple reasons for no spark, unfortuantely, a faulty CPS is one of the very likely causes (among several others).

I would assume that the computer is throwing a ect code because the engine hasnt been started and run to get up to temperature. When scanning for check engine light codes the vehicle is supposed to be warm.

Haven't been able to check for spark. Im pretty sure it has to be the CPS, though, cause the CID isn't that old, ECT is new, DIS is fine, coilpacks dont fail often if ever, etc.

CID maybe new, but if that cam seal leaks, that CID can go bad already.
