Are these shims good or not?

A shim that looks like this one should't be re-used front or back IMO. It appears to almost be deplated or something, and the score marks in the centers of those......what the heck caused those?

Looks like the reflection of an overhead two-bulb flourescent light fixture.
If you look at the first picture, all the lines point to the same spot. I would not think it was 2 florescent tubes. When I am polishing shafts on my mini-lathe, regular bulbs reflect as a line on the work piece. As the finish gets finer, the lines become narrower and more defined.

The second picture is too dark to tell, and the third negates my theory on the first..oh well
