I have a 94 SHO ATX and a 95 SHO MTX. I am in need of an ATX alternator and the last few times at the local junk yard I have not come across any SHOs. I am planning on going again in the near future. Does anyone know of other cars that would have the same alternators or starters?

I bought my alternator from autopartsnerd.com. Their house brand is USA Industries and it works fine. You might want to check them out.

Best bet would be to get it rebuilt at a reputable shop.

This is the best advice. When you take it in, make sure you let them know that they were reccomended by a large online community. That way they will know that you will talk about your experience. Garoonteed they will do a great job.

go to NAPAonline, enter vehicle type, look up the part, then scroll down to "buyers guide". it pulls up different vehicles with the same part. Freestar and Windstar are some of the vehicles that use the same starter. Fordparts dot com has a similar listing of other vehicles using the same parts.
