antenna help

i added the factory cd to the 95atx sho that irecently purchased and since i di the antenna is not working.i checked all the wiring and everything is connected properly and the fuse is okay.what could have happened .the antenna was working fine before i installed the cd.i even disconnected the cd player to see if that was the cause but it still wont go up.

Sounds like either the wire on the other end came loose or the motor died? If you reinstalled the factory unit with factory wiring and it still doesn't go up, those are about the only two things that could have gone wrong.

Remember the antenna will only go on when the Factory Unit is on. I fixed that by wiring the antenna directly to the ACC wire(red) so that when the car starts it goes up and when the car shuts off it goes down. A lot less stress in my opinion then up and down if you accidentally turn off the radio or in the case of the factory head unit, switch from radio to CD, then back to radio again.

Best bet would be to wire the antenna to the ACC wire, and turn the car on. If the antenna doesn't go up, there is something wrong with either the wire or the motor, and if the motor's bad you might want to just get a regular antenna.

so i can connect the one wire that goes to the back of the radio to the acc did not know will try.thanks for your help.
