My oil consumption has gone up since the last oil change by about 2 quarts in between changes instead of 1. I haven't lifted the car yet and don't see any leaks up top. All cam and valve cover seals have less than 20k. I haven't noticed any bluish white smoke coming from the exhaust. If there isn't blue smoke is it safe to say my valve seals and rings are probably not the problem? My thoughts are that maybe my brass fitting is leaking where I attached the mechanical oil pressure gauge. Someone in a past thread had a few problems with the oil pressure sender. Anybody recommend a product for cleaning up dirt and grime around the bottom of the engine? When I did my 60k I did notice some buildup around the front main seal and oil pump area. This might be the problem, or it could be one of the pan gaskets. If I ever get around to doing my rod bearings, I'll hopefully figure it out. The color of the aluminum on the oil pump looks quite new. I believe the pump and seal were replaced prior to my ownership by protech automotive They're a respected sho specialist shop, but I wouldn't put shoddy work past them or any shop listed on the hall of fame shrug
