I'm having a tough time right now idle is going crazy. I don't have money for a new idle control valve in a 3.0 ..... but I have a spare 3.2 motor with a good one on it they look different but It looks like it would fit and plug in ... do they interchange?

Honestly, if they don't look the same (and therefore aren't the same part) then I wouldn't run the car with it. But, who knows, it could work perfectly fine. Haha

it will fit and work fine. In fact, the ones on the atx are a little different shape and are MUCH easier to get on and off.

no, but its not hurting anything. if you press down on the cap, does it stop?

its probably the cap rattling from a noise that comes from the solenoid inside.

I've got an idle question that has plagued me for more or less the 18 years I've owned Bull.

You start him up, drive down the street to an intersection and put in the clutch at the Stop.

Engine idle goes up and down, up and down, and could easily go to stall. At which point it might be infrigginpossible to start up? Without matting the gas pedal until it catches?

Ideas? Hasn't affected the overall reliability of the car, just caused the odd embarsssing moment as it stalls and won't start....

TPS or the IAC. Small plunger inside the IAC that controls idle airflow when the throttle body is closed that gets carboned up over time.
