Another foglight question

I'm attempting to install my new Hella 20/20 driving/fog lamps this weekend.
The question is regarding splicing into thr parking lights for power source. Is the brown wire on parking lights the power wire. I have downloaded the schmatic. but electronics are my weak point.

yup. But be careful......I did that and for some reason, my switch keeps burning out. I guess there's a TSB concerning switches and wiring heating up and melting....

I'll be using the Hella switch because these lights have a dual function Fog or driving. The supplied awitch even fits in stock location!

Hey gimpysho, how did you end up wiring the lights in? Did you use the stock wiring or did you add a wiring harness? And how'd you mount them? Also how do you like the lights cause i'm thinking of picking some up obviously. Thanks

Use the switch connected to the OEM wiring to power a relay. The use the relay to power the new lights.

what paul said. I would never power aftermarket headlights off of the stock wiring harness that is 10 years old...
