What would provide the best sound, my HU's 50Wx4 built in amp or the JBL amps? Right now I have the Premier deck outputting to the amps and those then go to the speaker, so I think that my amps are amping the signal from the HU.

Thoughts?

I recently had a Major Short in my SHO (Operater Error, Long story). Anyways, After replacing tons of fuses (Including the one on the back of my week old HU) I later found that my AMP was destroyed as well. I went to Cirtcut city and had them order me harness to Bypass the factory AMP. It cost 19.99 (I'm sure it could be had for cheaper, However I don't have the P/N handy).

As far as the sound? Well, To be honest I can hardly tell a difference. I listen to music through an IPOD so obviously clarity can sometimes vary from song to song but I do think with just the head unit powering the speakers the sound is just a tiny bit less clear. I'm also running the origonal speakers however so It could be all in my head. It usually is. ;)

In my personal opinion, I wouldn't even bother integrating the amps with a new HU unless you want to keep the factory sub.

To integrate the a HU into your system, I would recommend using a line converter. It lowers the sound output of the aftermarket deck to work with the inputs on your factory amps. Otherwise your volume control will be thrown out of whack.

Where can I find a line converter? Are they universal.

BTW: I love your Avatar!
