I am installing amp wiring into my 90 sho and i was wondering where the best place it to put the hole in the fire wall would be or if there is an exsiting hole i can use and any other tips would be helpful

above the brake pedal, peel the carpet down a little, you will find a rubber grommet (mtx?) pull that out, slice a X into it, push it back in, and push your wire through that, it makes a very neat, water tight installation, if the grommet is not there, just look for some factory wire loom going trough the wire wall and match it up to the other side in the engine compartment, using this as a guide, make some measurements where you can drill your own hole (not hard at all-use a uni-bit) if you use this method, be sure to use a plastic snap grommet and seal the hole with some weather sealent or silicoln ("pucky") or the insulaion on the wire could chaff and short to ground on the fire wall.....good luck

ps. do not route the power wire on the same side of the vehicle as your rca's, or you will get the annoying whine of altornator noise in your speakers
