My SHO started running on what felt like three cylinders yesterday, no check engine light. It straightened up near the tech's shop but I had him read the codes anyway. The code was a 215, bad coil pack. (If memory serves) Replaced it with a known good unit. Car started and idled fine. I was just getting ready to leave when it started running badly again. Later that afternoon, he tells me the problem was in the ignition module.

Here's the kicker, after replacing it, it feels like a different car. WAY more power, especially bottom end and mid range. I have never seen an ignition module change make this kind of difference.

awesome! kind of a nice little surprise when you're forced to repair your car but get rewarded with an improvement in performance you weren't expecting!

I wish all my repairs were that rewarding

That probably wasn't a performance increase, but instead a restoration of the power that had been lost to a failing module.
