It seems to me that my SFB are gone but I need verification of this. It's gotten worse over the last few days. Basically when I take off or stop I hear a clunk...I orignally thought brakes but now when I take this corner that has a bump in it my whole front end groans loud. Could be suspenion too. Any ideas?

Check your spare and jack in the trunk, my SHO was doing that clunking and i thought it was the SFB's. One other place you can chek is the links to the rear sway bars. I've had 2 SLO's that have broken them and they make a horible clunking sound all the time. Cheap fix.

Now on my 95 SE, the clunking was the subframe, one bolt had broken and the subframe was smacking into the bottom of the car. I got it fixed and then found out about the recall afterwards, too bad I didn't have it done at a dealership.

If it turns out to be subframe bushings it's a perfect time to get an ALuminum Set from the classifieds section. :D thumb

I must be taking lessons from Mikey about the self plugs

hmmmm....well I know it's not the jack and I know it's coming from up front. I guess the best way to describe it is when I make a left turn into my apt there is a bump and it creaks in time and motion with the bump. I'll check my SFB bolts today and maybe that is it.

If you've never changed the sfb its good to go ahead and change those things. It will make a world of difference. Go with aluminum or police.
