The battery light in my 94 ATX came on recently. The chimes on startup sound pretty weak, and then the light comes on at lower RPM's. When I rev the engine, the light turns of. After letting off the gas, the car drops below 1000 rpm at idle. While driving, the AC doesnt always come on, and the windows are slow. The alternator was replaced recently, so is this definitely an alternator problem? I checked the wire going into the alt, which was little rusted out. After cleaning, the problem was the same. Any ideas? I would get the alternator tested, but the cant get the bottom bolts off and do not have a torque wrench. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

check the conections at the starter silinoid there might be corrosion or check for resestance in the battery wires with a volt meter
