The AWD system should disable if it detects a problem, and revert to FWD. Since the spare is on the rear axle, should not have any permanent issues, full function being restored by a normal sized tire being installed. Traction and handling will of course be negatively impacted until then, there is some compensation by the safety systems, but drive more conservatively until the spare is back in its' roost.

Glad there was no damage during the incident!

If you are running one dissimilar circumference tire on one axle, the differential spider gears will take up the difference.

Problems come in if there is a large difference between the front and rear axle tire circumference. You will get driveline windup if the awd system activates. This is kind of a bucking sensation if you've never been in a truck in 4x4 high on a dry road surface.
