I had recently had a clutch put into my car and all of the sudden the gears have became really loud, I didn’t have much trans fluid in my car, because I had bad axle seals and it leaked all out.....I took the car back to the mechanic and he said I had a bad input shaft. When I push the clutch in the sound slowly goes away as if its spinning to a stop, like the bearing is slowing down. What I’m thinking is I have bad input/output bearings, due to the lack of lubrication. If you had a bad input shaft wouldn’t it just strip out and then the car wouldn’t move? How likely is it that I have a bad input shaft, 2 weeks ago the car ran good. This is what I’m thinking, tear it down and find out if I have bad input/output bearings, or just get a trans from the junkyard, its also robbing power from the car.
