So, this has been going on for some time now...

I have tried replacing the sensor, cleaned up all the wiring, checked fuses and I cant find anything wrong.

I just want to disable the whole airbag system...

How does one go about doing that?

:thankyou:

Got the same problem. I have tracked it down to one wire between the module and the big connector on the left fenderwell (c100 I think?). It's the pk/w wire. There is like 9k ohms of resistance in that section of wire. Not sayin you have the same issue but who knows. Otherwise, to deactivate it, pull the fuse, disconnect the connectors at the module and pull the bulb (or live with the light on constant).

I too had a similar problem and mine was a bad wire also. Can't remember which wire it was but I believe if your sensor is fine and diagnostic monitor is working too then you have a short in either the PK/W wire or Y/LG between the sensor and diagnostic monitor. I can't remember what the resistance was supposed to be but you can run a quick jumper from the sensor to the monitor and see which one shuts the airbag light off.
