Where is it located exactly ? Under my glove box ? I get a 45 code. Primary crash sensor not mounted properly to the vehicle"

I was putting freon in my car and when I started the ignition the air bag light came on and never turned off. 45 is the code.
Where is the primary crash sensor #2 if there is one. And by any chance can the air bag be reset and how ?
please help me out a little.
thanks, dario....

dario,

First, be sure to read, understand, and follow all of the directions and warnings regarding repairs and/or diagnostics of the airbag system.

DO NOT DISCOUNT the WARNINGS! The airbag system has a power reserve so it is imperitive that you disconnect the battery and let the car set for a while (see the service manual).

Refer to the manual for your model year for the location of the crash sensors. You most likely have a poor connection or poor ground. The screw that holds the sensor to the body is the ground (usually).

If you do not have a service manual your local library will have several in the reference section.

Again, the airbag is not to be taken lightly. It can be dangerous. rangerj
