I have an airbag code flashing of 15. There is no code 15 listed in the shop manual.
Someone said that somehow the computer is misinterpreting this as the air bags.

Anyone know what this code means?

My cruise control is out and am wondering if this is a clock spring issue? My horns do work, so this is confusing me.

Looking for a 92 clock spring, they are no longer listed. Will the 97 taurus clock spring work in a 92?

Cruise control could be a few issues, the vacuum canister that controls it could be rotted out for one, the cable mechanism could be broken. Or connectors not plugged in, or if the VSS isn't plugged in. It's a simple system.

The clock spring should only interchange between say, 90-92 SHO but I wouldn't bet on it. It would be best to find a 92. Some 93 SLOs came with the same rectangle airbag - those may also interchange. Past that, they are different.

well, if there is a clock spring issue, then the driver's airbag can easily be shorted or open, which would give you a 15 code.

kevinspann is correct - you need a clock spring from a Taurus / Sable that has the rectangular airbag.

I had a bad airbag module, it's located in the passenger side a pillar area near the glove box and is blue, has two connectors.
