Aftermarket head unit with factory amp

I do buy into the idea that a putting too many watts into the factory amp will distort it, but I'm just saying that most aftermarket head units are not that powerful. If you buy a Pioneer,Sony,JVC, or any other head unit and it is advertised at 50 X 4 it's actually going to be somwhere between 15 to 20 watts RMS at 4ohms. The wattage that all of these companys advertise is always peak output. You can easily just divde their wattage by 2 to get your realistic otput power.
