Had the 60K done on the 93'Atx and got it back and found it leaking oil. Put dye in the oil and found the rear valve cover gasket leaking. The guy replaced the gasket and found a slice in it, apparently causing the leak. Got it back, and it still is leaking somewhere. Other than the valve cover, could it be somewhere else? Is it possible for the actual valve cover to be causing this?

You talkin to me? That guy I told you about did it, including the valve lash. Its going back to him tomorrow to put another valve gasket on. He's probably going to do the red one in spring with the rest of the stage one mods.

Probably more than you want to spend. Didn't drivinhard say he charged something like $250 labor for the 60K? It might be worth taking a 2 day road trip to NY for the lash.

I just got done doing this..twice for a leaking rear valve cover gasket. I have a great list member loan me his expertise and tools...to help me do this. My car leaked alot of oil from the rear valve cover..i mean alot..caused alot of smoke and still smells a bit of burning oil after a drive. Hopefully that will wear off in a day or two. Any ideas guys on how to clean that area of the engine real well? I want to make sure its innot still leaking...i dont think it is but you never know.

I don't know if he did, but F*CK the 60k either way. If I make a trip to see him, he'll be putting a 3.2L in my car.
