Maurice - thanks for the advice. I'm currently looking for a complete Taurus for a donor car. I've found several, but none close enough to home. I'll take a look at your thread and thanks for the offer to answer questions. BTW - my Capri is an inline 6, so the oddball k-member may actually help(?). If not, I also have a 2.4/5.0. Push comes to shove, I'll get a tubular and free up a bunch of room.

Maurice - just looked at your thread. Wow! Most people would have given up by now but you just keep on knocking out the problems. I'm impressed. Lot's of good pics and information in there. Good luck and I'll keep tabs on your progress.

Only nagging one I have is. I took section of oil pan out for K-member. I think when I pull it again I am going to add a bump out on passenger side for more oil. Thanks I almost gave up a time or 2 but not my way. Keep me informed of yours please. I also own a 89 Mustang with a 2.3 turbo I converted so well familair with that platform. Good and happy hunting. can you guys clear up something for me?

why only the 87-88 aerostars?

arent aerostar and rangers the same setup? why cant you use ranger 3.0 stuff?

The trans used behind the 3.0 Ranger doesn't have a removable bellhousing.

I assume the bellhousing that works was only used in the Aerostar those years - it allows the use of a T5 transmission with an adapter.
