First time SHO owner, '91 MTX 130,000k really don't know what mant. PO has had done, but, at idle, normal temp. if I stomp it there is an engine lag/miss then engine catches up and going up hills 30 to 40 mph third/forth gear engine misses than catches after revs are up, other than that it has plenty of power and runs fine

Sounds like the valve cover gaskets leaked into the spark plug wells. If not, sounds like it needs spark plug wires.
