Adjusting speedometer with SCT SF3

Allegedly, the SCT SF3 flash tuner I got from Livernois will allow me to adjust a number of items on the car aside from the custom tunes it holds. This would be very handy since the tires I used for winter are slightly smaller than the F1s that came on my 2011.

However, after going through every menu and option on the device, I don't see any of these adjustments anywhere. Specifically I'd like to be able to set the revs per mile (739) for my tires so my speedo doesn't read fast.

Are the Livernois SCT tuners locked to only be able to load their custom tunes or something?

Adjustable parameters need to be turned on in the custom tune. Livernois will have to do that for you. When you load the custom tune, it will ask if you want to Adjust Options (or something like that)....that is where it gets adjusted.

Hm. Could I try simply re-applying my existing tune and see if I'm prompted for any other changes I want to make?

You could. Most tuners don't turn on adjustable options but it is worth a shot. If not, I am sure Rick at Livernois would be more then happy to make the adjustment for your tires or turn on the adjustments in your tunes.

I checked the rotations per mile for both my tires: the 18" Conti DWSs are 737 revs per mile, while the 20" Eagle F1s are 729 revs per mile. This comes to a 1.08 percent difference, which will be less than a mile per hour at anything under 90, so I'm not going to worry about it.

I agree. Not worth the time unless you are having them adjust your tune or something....
