Not long ago I installed an analog oil pressure gauge in my car, but by doing this the idiot red oil pressulre light doesn't come on now because I removed the stock sending unit completely.

I'd like to find an adapter that I can screw into the engine and also have fitting to have both, the analog and electronic factory sending unit.

Could you guys guide me with some part numbers/links to where I can get something like this?

Thanks!!

What you need to do is go to the hardware store and get a 1/4" NPT Tee. A street Tee would be best as it will have a male end and 2 females for you senders. You can also get a normal 1/4" tee and a few small ******* of 1/4" as well and make it all work.

I agree ,however, from what I've read the problem will be long term due to vibrations eventually ruining the sender. This is the reason I haven't yet installed the gauge I have laying around, well let's be honest I'm lazy but that's my excuse!

Thanks guys, I think I'll be visiting Home Depot to get a 1/4" tee and use some imagination on this.

By the way, when you guys say that vibrations could ruin the sender, you are talking about the stock sending unit or the one for the analog gauge?

I'm planning to temporarly use a flexible nylon hose for the analog gauge and eventualy replace it with a copper line leaving some slack on it near the engine it doesn't break.
