ok i have a major issue, everytime i turn on my heater on anything other than floor the ac compressor causes a nasty vibration and sounds like crap... it started out as intermitently and now it is any time the heater is on... please if anyone can help me find out what the problem is this would be greatly appreciated... the only thing i can think of is the compressor clutch is going out... but not for sure... thanks any advice will help.

The compressor will cycle in any climate control setting except OFF, FLOOR, and VENT.

Sounds more like a failing compressor rather than a clutch or coil, but in any case you can disconnect the coil (2-wire harness on the side of the compressor facing the radiator) and that will stop the compressor from engaging until you have to worry about having A/C in warmer temperatures.
