I don't think Ford has an a/c delete pulley for the ATX cars; a/c was standard equipment. What issue are you having? If it's a pulley issue you can purchase a new pulley and electrically disconnect the compressor. The pulley contains a new bearing.

Unsure. I just assumed it's the pulley. Because there's drag all the time, not just when the ac is on, it's causing my car to run hotter.

No, The only time the fans kick on is when the tempature gauge goes up, but the car is holding back just about all the time from the drag, if i can maintain a steady speed the gauge wont go up, Correct me if i'm wrong. When the temp goes up, my steering makes noise, and i think the reason the temp goes up is because the drag on the AC pulley is slowing down the steering pump and water pump pulleys.

Ok, are you running the AC Compressor? The Compressor will run if the EATC is placed in any selection except 'vent', 'floor', and 'off'. The car will have a noticeable drag if the AC Compressor is on. If you try driving with the EATC selected in one of the above mentioned selections the Compressor will be off and the car should have no drag.

The fans should run whenever the AC Compressor is running. You might have a problem with your IRMC, which controls their operation with the AC.

The motor will spin at the same RPM, no matter if the AC is on or not. So, the AC will not affect the water pump or PS pump RPM. It sounds like your car is getting hot because the fan is not coming on when the AC is turned on.

Another question, i have an 89 SHO that the AC works great. Will the AC compressor fit 95 SHO????

Yes, it will fit, but the '89 is R-12 and the '95 is R134a. If the '89 works great I would suggest leaving it alone.

The AC is not on and i feel the drag, with the AC on the drag don't go away but there's noise coming from that area, if i put the EATC to defrost there's still drag but the temp goes down to normal, below the L, when i don't turn on the EATC (says OFF) and keep moving without traffic, the temp stays where it should (below L) when i get in traffic the temp goes to M, followed by steering noise, can the belt be slowing down enough to affect all accessories run by the belt? this is my 3rd ATX, all ran under the L in traffic conditions.

Running in the 'M' in traffic conditions is normal, your car is not overheating. You need to see if the AC Compressor is still running when the EATC is set to 'off', it shouldn't be. If it is not then you are looking at another drag source.

Definitely not running without the AC on.

Ok, well if the compressor is not running with the EATC set to 'off' that is not the source of your drag. Also, your temp's in traffic are fine (verify that the fans are running with the AC on).

You might want to check to see if your rear brakes are hanging up, that is a common source of drag on these cars.
