Hey all, I just installed a hard button replacement eatc on my 95 and everything seemed to go fine. Prior to this my air would blow cold for 20 mins. or so then go hot. Self test showed no problem and coil was not icing up. After install it now just blows hot all the time. Clutch is engaging but suction line stays warm. Anybody know if I'm missing something or is the compressor shot? Vacuum seems alright and all other control modules function. Help?

Very carefully, watch the center shaft of the compressor when the clutch engages. An inspection mirror on a long handle and a flashlight is necessary.

If the nut on the shaft is not turning while the outer hub is rotating, the clutch is bad. If both the hub and the compressor shaft are turning, the compressor failed internally.

Just finished putting in the new clutch hub. Did not need the whole clutch assembly. It's pretty obvious once you get down to the hub if it's bad. Anyway ac is blowing icy cold again and for only a$45 part. Thanks again Steve and I hope this helps others as well.

I mean, my a/c blows hot too. And just imagine, I have a black on black 93 with black leather cloth interior. I hope my problem is the same as your, a different of about....allot of money.

My coil is now daggling off to the side.
