Okay, so here's my problem. I went to start up my car and put my key in the ignition and turned the key to the "on" position (not turning the ignition on) and after the fuel pump stopped humming, I heard a loud grinding noise. I originally thought it was something in the engine. So, I turned the key back to the off position and then back to the on position. Same noise. I turned it off and on a couple more times and heard the same noise. Then I figured it was something to do with the fuel pump, since I recently pulled codes, and the fuel pump secondary circuit failure code or something like that came up. I didn't worry too much, because I didn't notice any effects. Then I turned it on and off again when I got home, and found that the noise coincides with the ABS light. while the light is on, the grinding noise continues, then the light turns off a second or two after the fuel pump stops humming, and the grinding stops. Any idea what in the ABS system is grinding or if it is something else?

Thanks
-Matt

well i dont really have a lot of expertise in an abs system. but i suppose it is possible the abs could be doing that for some reason, cycling the abs pump thingy (whatever its called) on. go under the hood and unplug that massive plug from the abs computer. then try it again, see if it makes any difference.
