ABS/Cruise Module Name?

Could anyone tell me what the name of the module is that controls the ABS and the Cruise Control? I remember someone telling me what it was before, but I can't find the topic about it. And if at all possible, could anyone give me an idea how much I'd get one for? Thanks! ABS is broke and it rains alot down here, so I'd kinda like to have it.

They are separate modules.

Ironically, they are called the ABS module and the cruise control module.

Oookay.. but why do usually both go out at the same time then? That's what I need to fix, that part.

Vehicle speed sensors may be giving you trouble.

Jack up the front end, hook a multimeter to the connector to the VSS and watch the voltage go up and down as you spin the wheel. If it doesn't go up and down, you have a problem.

An even simpler test is to ohm them out. I forget the values, but if you compare the value to the other VSS, you should get an idea if one is way off.

I was an idiot and spliced mine back together instead of replacing the sensor when I broke one during the '96 brake upgrade. Bad idea. Never worked right.
