Anyone have any experience replacing the ABS controller in a '91? My guys at Ford said they were dropped from service parts 15 years ago. '92 up is a different system, and ya can't buy those new or remaned either, so I'm told. I haven't had to use the ABS 10 times in 20 years, and '89s didn't have it anyway, so I'll just rip all the associated hardware out and lighten the car.

Don't take my advice.
I'm not sure how different it is... an ABS controller I pulled out of a 92 has an F1XX part number on it. Not sure were you are in Virginia, but if you wanted to try it, you could.

Haven't pulled mine out yet to ID the part #, my guys at Ford just told me that the '90-'91s used a different ABS system than the '92 up and that the controllers weren't interchangable. I like to have everything working that was ment to work, though I can't remember when the ABS activated last before this issue.
Kevin, I'm in Roanoke, about 175 mi down the road from ya. Loudsho92, baught some good stuff from you guys in the last year or so, got a set of rod bearings commin' now. Will certainly keep ya in mind. I'll take this beast apart shortly and see what's up, I had no idea that there were any good used ones around.
