If anyone at the run would be willing to provide a short statement and possibly any pictures you may have taken of my car before her death, I would be eternally grateful.

I need to "prove" the condition of my poor SHO to assist in negotiating the settlement amount.

Also, Majisto, if you would also be kind enough providing me with a statement showing your intent to purchase the car that would also help.

No one is obligated to do this and no one would be under any microscope or anything, but Allstate did offer an amount and I believe that figure to be too low, they haven't seen the car as it used to look like and they have only my testimony to go by in terms of its condition and rarity. Any help will go a long way, it really will.

Thanks all, this looks to be settled soon. Anyone wishing to help please email me at [email protected]

Thank you all.

Damien,

I saw this and I thought to myself "this is a little over the top", thinking that you wanted a eulogy for your vehicle. :)

Then I read what followed.

The insurance game sucks. They want to pay you the least amount that you'll be willing to take. Your car is worth what it costs to replace it. Considering the number of Rose Mist SHO's around in the condition yours was, I'd say it's gonna be hard to replace. Don't let the insurance tell you it's just a 96 ford taurus, and there are tons of em around.

Tell them insted of a check, just have them deliver you a Rose mist with approx. same miles in same condition of yours before the accident. After they can't find one, they can re-evaluate the value of the car.
no offense to any insurance people here, but I think they all suck :finger:
I got screwed when the drunk driver totalled my heavy modded 93 with 80K miles, my bank account is still hurting some 15 months later.
My prayers are with you Damien, give em **** and good luck!

Damien, I took video of the cars before we all left, so I will check when I get home for any pics. Also, I believe Tony took some really good pics...

By the way, how are you guys doing? I hope we will see you again soon!

Oh no. I'd never pretend anyone could say anything better or worse about my car than I could. I merely asked this for the purposes of keeping my insurance company from screwing me on the value of my car.

I don't expect anyone besides those who have seen this car in person to respond either, while pictures provide one angle, it isn't the same as seeing it in person.

And yes, I'd say asking for sobs of pain over the loss of MY car is well over the top, and I'd never in a million years expect or ask for that.

Damien,

Did you tell them it was one of possilby only 200 made?

I would be happy to help with an appraisal sheet of what I believe the car is worth. But being from MA, even tho I am a dealer, I don't think they would accept it.

Do you know of a dealer in your area that you are close with that knows your car? Have them give the INS. co a written statement of what they think the car is worth and what they would have retailed it for, if in fact you were to trade it in.

Hope this helps.

Hey Damien,

Sorry about your car. I met you at Jordan Motorcars last year. I had the green 94 with chrome slicers. I saw your car and the condition it was in. I will gladly provide a statement of the condition of your car and the rarity of it. Just send me a pm if you need me.

Josh
