I picked up my Gen I SHO with a completely new interior, headliner included. However when they put the headliner in the broke both a pillars putting them back on. Are the a pillars common to all Gen I Taurii? The interior looks great except for the big freaking broken plastic pieces in front of each door.

The interior plastic trim pieces are common to all versions of the Taurus.\

They also get very brittle from age...

Yes, but the A-Pillars themselves are not a replaceable unit. If they broke your A-Pillar you pretty much need a different car.

You might check a dealer for those pillars. Mine broke off the tabs when removing them, and any j-yard Taurus will probably be the same.

Because I don't want it. It's my daily driver, I don't need it looking like every other ricer in the neighborhood (of which there are plenty).

These type of parts at a junk yard are fluff & the sellers will part with interior trim parts very cheap.
