so I'm working on my motor rebuild project and i have it a snag. the othr night i was all ready to install my oi pump assemaply and i onlypalced the four short bots in a labeled baggy. I think i found the other two long ones but they are extra long and i cant remember if there was a bracket that goes over it or if i got the wrong bolts. I have a 89 3.0 motor and the ford shop manual that doesnt really over much help for this part of the motor.

Yes, I ran into that problem, the 2 long bolts are for the accessories that bolt onto the engine after, the 4 short ones are right.

The left one bolts on the rear tensioner, and the right one bolts on the front tensioner.

Keep on going, you are doing it correctly

There is one long bolt that goes through the lower timing cover and oil pump housing on the front side of the engine. It's important that this bolt be torqued properly because the oil pump outlet is right near there and the gasket does not have a whole lot of edge clearance in that area.
