So it's been over a year since I've been here and my SHO has been sitting for 7 months .................. yes the dreaded crank cancer , so today my timing and all parts related have been pulled and my woodruff key was chewed up pretty bad. A small section of the crank was also worn but not as bad as some other members here. All in all I'm very exited I've been driving a Talon turbo since ( that car blows compared to my SHO ) and now a Vigor ( same as the Talon lol ) man I miss my baby. Parts are extremely hard to find and I almost junked it... glad I didn't.

Anyways to make this post as short as possible I want to thank everyone here for the tips on crank cancer and also want to warn anyone who has no clue what it is , check you crank timing gear , woodruff key and timing belt if you haven't already done so , the car will gradually loose power till you can't drive it no more ( it will also whine in that area) it affects 1st and 2nd gen equally. On the same note I'm kind of ****** at Ford for discontinuing the parts also.

Thanks for the heads up. Wasn't there a woodruff replacement made by someone on the forum or Shotimes list to replace ones that were worn?

I have these in stock , best way to get obsolete stuff is to let know EVERYONE you know of what you're looking for. Specially here.

Glad you're bringing it back on track :thumb:
