I need your help!
I should have heeded your advice that all parts for 89 SHO start with E9DZ and shouldn't have been so cavalier about your comment.
So you owe me one of these!:
I ordered parts from RockAuto using Motorcraft numbers and I orderd the wrong parts and have to return them.
Your diagram helped. Can you confirm/answer the following:
Suction Line is comprised of two parts: E9DZ-19C836 and E9DZ-19E636.
I can't find E9DZ-19E636 at 4s.com, but I can reuse the existing assembly that goes from the accumulator to the compressor suction.
4s gives their part number: 55620 for E9DZ-19C836. Can you confirm?
Discharge line is comprised of two parts: E9DZ-19E574 and E9DZ-19972.
I can't find E9DZ-19E574 at 4s.com, but again I can reuse the existing assembly that connects the compressor discharge to E9DZ-19972.
4s.com gives their part number: 55920 for E9DZ-19972. Can you confirm?
Liquid line is E9DZ-19835. Orifice is built in.
I can't find this part at 4s.com. You stated that you have used their liquid line. Can you advise if they have this line for the '89 SHO and the part number?
How do you order from 4s.com? I can't find a phone number and their doesn't appear to be an online ordering system.
I obtained sealing washers for the compressor suction and discharge manifold from a A/C shop. They gave me green O-rings that fit, but the original washers are red and RECTANGULAR. The groove the washers fit in are also rectangular. The shop said they always use O-rings for Ford compressors.
Ford dealership did not have washers in stock but could order them. I don't know if the replacement washers from Ford will be red or green. It seems like they should be green for R-134a refrigerant.
Finally, where do you get these drawings exploded parts of SHO systems?!!!
Thanks.
