My boss asked me if I knew who had a 99 SHO that needed a trans. Apparently, the owner called our shop first (SE), but ended up taking it down to the other one (the one I previously worked at--SW). I'm not sure of the color or anything, but I figured it was someone on here, because supposedly it was taken down there because they saw my Blue 91 out there this winter..... Anyone?

Eh, don't worry about it. They are good guys over there, and they will do an excellent job. So it must be wireless season too, huh?

Just got the estimate for my rebuild on my transmission.
Its going to be $2369.08 for everything.
Rebuild, new seals, new selonoids, transgo shift kit, furnace brazed dual disk torque convertor, pistons and whatever else he listed.
Anyone mind telling me if im getting screwed or if its a pretty good price?

How much would have your shop charged for everything that the other one is doing? Would it have been pretty similar? To be honest, I thought you said you were laid off a while back. I had no idea you just changed from one to the other, else I definately woulda contacted you man.

Yes, I was laid off from the Shop that you are having the work done at, then contacted by the shop I am currently working at. To be honest, we would have done it quite a bit cheaper. I have never seen him charge over $1800 for a taurus/windstar..... And since you know me, he would have done it even cheaper probably.

Their prices are just higher over there, and they don't like cutting deals, so I really doubt it. You signed papers telling them it was ok to have the work done at their price, so there really isn't anything you can do. You can tell them you went there because you know me, but I'm not sure if that will help.
