Are the caliper brackets right and left side specific or are they interchangable? NAPA has a part # for the bracket, but no mention of rt. or lt. side.

I guess I wasn't the first to have used these based on this thread. I found out THIS thread by going to search and typing "96 caliper bracket". Somebody should get a moderator to go through ALL posts that mention "NAPA bracket will work" and delete that part out. This really sucks. Hopefully my dealer will have'm in stock. Thanks,I guess I'm the first person that's tried these. THEY DON'T WORK!! @#$%#!@! NAPA!!! It's the same bracket as the non-SHO!!! Go to napa's website, and select your car with the SHO engine, and then with the OHV, it's the same freakin part number!!! Why do I always have to find out these things the hard way? I do my research (which was here where I found these brackets), I take my time,Originally posted by DougLee25:
Supposedly Napa's part number for the 96 SHO front caliper brackets is BK 6751579. The price is $26.99. Better than 50 to 60 bucks from the dealer.
We were supposed to have been leaving for TX tomrrow too, hopefully my dealer will have them in stock. Can NAPA LEGALLY get away with something like this? I mean this is turned out to be a HUGE inconvenience for us. My dealer probably won't have them in stock so I will have to wait another day to leave. Oh well.
If anyone has this part # on reference for the correct caliper brackets PLEASE remove it ASAP so somebody else doesn't have to go through this too. Damn Napa. Oh well, thanks,
Tom
THIS IS THE PART YOU NEED: F6OZ*2B134*AA LIST $46.75/EA Don't waste you're time telling the dealer what vehicle it's for, just tell him the damn part number.Tom L:
Alright guys, I'm gonna need some of your help ASAP! I called up my local/helpful Mercury dealer (at 7:30am they were the only ones there) and the service manager, Karl, was very helpful. Now there SEEMS to be a discrepancy with the part#'s here. I gave him the part # listed on the parts list: F60Z-2B134-AA, and he said his parts listing is showing that as the bracket for the regular Taurus (and I guess that part # is no longer valid and has changed too). He said that the listing he had for '96+ SHO caliper brackets were: F6DZ2B292BA
Does anyone know about this or can possibly verify this part# as the correct one I need?
He seemed pretty interested in this and even went to the SHOTIMES website after I gave him the link, right on the phone, and was reading it all off. So I hope he is right, because I've heard there's been problems (besides NAPA) with people getting the WRONG brackets using Ford part numbers. HELP!!! Thanks,
Tom
Some of the most recent SLOs....read: SSSS lll OOO ss have the same 11.6" front system. Thats why the parts are now so cheap. Not sure exactly which years.Tom L:

Not sure exactly what this has to do with, since the issue is about the part numbers of the brackets and not really any prices or anything about ssss ||||| ooooo ss?Some of the most recent SLOs....read: SSSS lll OOO ss have the same 11.6" front system.
