96 aftermarket head unit

My buddy just picked up a black 96. very clean car except his cousin that he got it from painted a bunch of the interior rattle can red . but he was just wondering about aftermarket head unit. is there a kit to install? and take care of the heating controls?

No there is no "kit". A few of us, myself included, have gone and installed aftermarket Headunits below the EATC or have actually reworked the football to mount a HU. The time it takes to rebuild the EATC to mount a stereo is a lot of work in my opinion.

I vote to install it in the ashtray location.

i finally completed it after like 3 years. got a dvd pop out in the football now. came out pretty good.
